East African Business Council (EABC) Secretariat in collaboration with respective
investment agencies is organising a maiden East African Business &
Entrepreneurship Conference and Exhibition in Nairobi from 10th-13th October
2016. The conference is an annual event rotating in all EAC Partner
States.
In the 2016 edition, the East
African Entrepreneurship Conference will be hosted in Kenya with KenInvest as
the national partner. The investment agencies of the other EAC Countries, namely Burundi Investment Promotion Authority (API), Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Tanzania
Investment Centre (TIC) and Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) are also strongly involved and will host the
upcoming editions.
Moreover, the
Federation of German Industries (BDI), the umbrella association of German
industry, is the key international partner, to bring a substantial and
high-level participation from Germany’s vast industrial sector
The
conference will focus on the promising sectors of infrastructure, manufacturing
and energy as well as the emerging leather and textile-industry. Half a day
will be spent on innovative information and communication technologies (ICT).
We expect up to 300 delegates
from the infrastructure-, manufacturing- and energy sector, stakeholders from
the fast growing ICT- and leather & textile industries, representatives of
financing institutions as well as important policy makers and stakeholders of
relevant international organizations.
