The EABC Business Excellence Awards (BEAs) seek to reinforce the
critical role of the private sector in the economy of East Africa and to
recognize and celebrate businesses from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan,
Tanzania and Uganda that demonstrate exceptional business performance in
accelerating regional growth, creating wealth, employment and reducing poverty
across the region. As the only regional business awards, the EABC Business
Excellence Awards provide businesses in East Africa an opportunity to compete
for the ultimate business accolade at the EAC level. Application is open for
all SMEs and Companies in the EAC Region.

JUDGING
PROCESS
The EABC
Business Excellence Awards has a six-member Panel of Judges to adjudicate
entries. The Panel comprises individuals of the highest caliber, who command
in-depth understanding of the EAC integration processes, the business dynamics
of the EAC region as well as the role that the private sector can play in
shaping the development of the region.
To ensure objectivity, transparency and accuracy in the judging
process, the panel will work with an Audit firm whose mandate will be to review
the end to end process of the Business Excellence Awards.
The judging process will commence on 19th February
2018 and be completed by 9th March 2018. The Judges will conduct a
desktop review of the entries followed by a face to face meeting and
finalization of the judging process.
Each category will have three finalists, to be announced during
the week commencing 12th March, 2018.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner scheduled for
23rd March, 2018 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi.
